Anheuser-Busch Brewery is at jct. Lynch and 12th sts. Guided 45-minute complimentary tours provide an overview of the facility and include the Clydesdale stables, Beechwood Aging Cellar and the Historic Brew House. The tour concludes in the Biergarten. The Beermaster tour is a behind-the-scenes tour featuring all the stops on the complimentary tour plus viewing the full packaging line in the packaging building, the tack room in the stables and the finishing cellar, where guests 21 and older can quaff a sample from the finishing tank. Gifts are also provided on this tour. The Beer School exhibit provides background information on beer's finer points, from ingredients to pouring, and samples are available to taste. Other tours are offered; phone for details. Note: Closed-toe shoes are required on the Beermaster tour, and access to behind-the-scenes areas may vary based on production schedule. Both tours involve outside walking and six flights of escalators. Food is available.
Complimentary tour free. Beermaster tour $35; $15 (ages 13-20). Beer School $15. Under 18 must be with an adult on overview tour. Under 21 not permitted at Beer School. Advance reservations (recommended several weeks in advance) are required for the Beermaster tour; ages 0-12 are not permitted.
Hours: Tours offered Mon.-Thurs. 9-5, Fri.-Sat. 9-5:30 (also 5:30-7 on July 4 weekend), Sun. 11:30-7, June-Aug.; Mon.-Sat. 10-5 (also 5-7 on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends), Sun. 11-5, rest of year. Beermaster tour (maximum 10 guests per tour) and Beer School offered several times a day. Schedule varies with the season; phone for details.
