Soldiers Memorial Military Museum is at 1315 Chestnut St. The central breezeway has served as a monument to the city's men and women serving in uniform since 1938. A black granite cenotaph bears the names of 1,075 St. Louis soldiers who died in World War I. Across the street are memorials to those who died in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
Note: The museum, memorials and Court of Honor are all closed due to an extensive renovation and are expected to reopen in November 2018. Phone ahead for updated information regarding the reopening.
