Pros: Liked the location, we were there for a concert and didn't have to worry about where to go and parking. Lots of attractions, shipping and eating nearby. It was good.
Staff was nice, beds were soft, overall the hotel itself was great!
Cons: It just happen to be a lot going on this particular weekend, wedding, concert and baseball game. We were told we could park in the garage for $16 a night and come and go as we please. We were provided with a Marriott parking garage pass. After a trip to the mall we ran into traffic right outside the Marriott on Washington, we waiting for an hour and a half just to enter the hotel. It was 4ish pm which is check in time so I guess that why. Once we finally made it to the garage, the parking attendant told us the garage was full. We were very confused, remember we are being charged to park. We would not take no for an answer so he allowed us to park there anyways. However after the concert we encountered this again, it was late so we drove away from downtown to get something to eat. When we came back we were told no parking available...again. We ultimately had to park on the street, however my credit card was charged $20 for parking. What happened to the $16 fee?
Also, we were awakened at 5am by an alarm and had to evacuate the hotel. We were staying on the 17th floor, it was a long and scary walk down al those flights of stairs. After about 5 of waiting outside we saw people going back in, so we did too. Now I'm glad nothing bad really happened and we were able to enter the hotel and go back to sleep, but it was frightening enough to be awakened this way. However, we never got an explanation of what happened. We did see a fire truck, so it must have been a false alarm. But an explanation would have been nice!
Lastly, the items in the Pantry were way overpriced!!!
