Lack of managementemployees lack direction, accountability and guest care mindset
Pros: LocationBritish themeDelicious breakfast!Scavenger hunt! One of the cleaning staff (an older woman) was kind enough to give me clean towels one time
Cons: 1. Dusty throughout2. Dining tables were never clean, never saw staff cleaning them3. Dirty floors throughout-never saw staff sweep, mop or vacuum4. Room was never cleaned or restocked during our 3 day stay, despite asking for it to be cleaned5. Bed frames are hazardous. I was injured so severely I could not walk for 24 hours (and am still dealing with a swollen, injured knee).6. No wheelchair or crutches or assistance provided to me when I couldn't walk. Other guests were helpful but no staff were.7. The manager did not call as I was told he would when I filed an incident report.8. When returning a borrowed bike, my daughter informed them that the bike was unsafe- chain repeatedly fell off, back wheel not secured - the employee merely laughed.9. This hotel charges $10/day to park. This was never disclosed either in writing or in person prior to check out.10. The parking garage was flooded. A caustic, oil based liquid dripped on my car. This required professional care to remove, as it did not wash off in a car wash the same day. That's all I can think of right now.

Traveling as Couple
Do eat at the restaurant at the Cheshire - dinner was excellent. The free breakfast is fine for what it is - pastries, milk, fruit, cereal, yogurt, tea, coffee, and a couple hot dishes. The location is wonderful for people who want to travel around the St. Louis area - easy access to downtown, Clayton, Forest Park, and the interstate.
Pros: The hotel is a good way. The historical English literature theme is one of a kind. It's a great place to take kids to see somewhere different. The pool was also great, although it is a party scene on the weekends.
Cons: I wish the bathroom had a light switch instead of a motion sensor. It's not the best for someone who uses the restroom in the middle of the night.

Family with Young Children
Great location!! Neat ombiamce with renassiance theme! Starbucks awesome! Pool nice and clean and bar near pool is great for adults. Although having small children wanting to swim and a bunch of drunk rowdy adults chilling nearby or in pool was not ideal. After several complaints to management to get us a room sufficient the third time of moving was finally good. Staff and housekeepers phenomenal! And FYI the hotel sells some yummy candles!
Pros: Starbucks attached was awesome!! The bar at pool was great not very kid friendly with bar but great for adults!
Cons: Well let me say we moved rooms 3 times! First time was because we woke up to the airconditioner leaking and eventually tiles falling from ceiling. Second time was because they moved us to a smaller room and wasn't as clean. Third time was a charm! Thanks
