AAA Inspector Notes
Inspector Pick (Local hangout): This is the spot I recommend to friends and family who are visiting St. Louis for the first time to try their delicious wood-smoked ribs and brisket.
Come hungry, but not too hungry because you might have to wait in line 30 minutes or more to reach the counter to place your order. The line moves swiftly, and the food is worth the wait—this is widely considered the best barbecue in town and in the nation's top ten. Ribs are slow-smoked over apple and cherry woods and seasoned to perfection with a signature dry rub. Also find pork, chicken, brisket, turkey and sausage, with sides like fried corn on the cob and sweet potato fries. The eatery tends to close around 7 (4 pm on Sundays), but if you're planning to come later in the afternoon, call first. The kitchen closes when the food is gone, and some days it goes fast!
