Grant's Farm/Grant's Farm
AAA Editor Notes
Grant's Farm is on Gravois Rd. (at Grant Rd.). Ulysses S. Grant built a cabin here in 1856 on land he once farmed. The 281-acre tract, operated by Anheuser-Busch, is a home for some 900 animals, including goats, camels and elephants. Also on site is a Clydesdale stable and breeding farm. A show starring birds of prey invites participation from members of the audience. Visitors can ride a carousel or go for a swan paddleboat ride on Mirror Lake, and there are other lakes on the grounds stocked with goldfish and Japanese koi.

The Bauernhof, a 19th-century Bavarian-style building, houses the Busch family's carriage collection, including coaches, carts and sleighs from Europe and Asia. Trophy and tack rooms display harnesses, saddles and other gear. A tram ride offers the opportunity to observe such animals as bison, longhorn cattle, antelope, wild mustangs, zebras and red deer.

Guests 21 years of age and older are invited to enjoy complimentary samples of Anheuser-Busch products as they are walking through the park or relaxing in the Bauernhof area.

Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
