The Bauvais-Amoureux House is .25 mi. s. on Main St. to 327 St. Mary's Rd., within Felix Vallé House State Historic Site. This French Colonial vertical log home, built in 1792, is one of three in the United States constructed using only vertical logs for its foundation. An exhibit room with information about the community's architectural history and a diorama room with a model of Ste. Genevieve circa 1832 are highlights.
