Twin Pines Conservation Education Center is 1.3 mi. e. of jct. SR 19N and US 60. The center and grounds feature historic buildings including a log cabin and schoolhouse; four trails, including a tree ID trail and a nature hike; an archery range; opportunities for fishing at a small pond; educational exhibits on regional wildlife, reptiles and plant life; a display showcasing the history of local logging; an interior waterfall; and a bird-watching area. Part of the 442-acre grounds are landscaped with native plants, and demonstration plots illustrate seven land management techniques.
Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
