Quarry Hill Nature Center

Quarry Hill Nature Center is at 701 Silver Creek Rd. N.E. in Quarry Hill Park; from jct. US 14 and CR 22, go n. 1.4 mi. to Silver Creek Rd., then w. .3 mi. to the entrance. It features an exploration hall with hands-on interactive exhibits, live and mounted animal exhibits, an indoor bird-watching room, live raptors, an indoor observation beehive, a 1,700-gallon native freshwater fish aquarium displaying local fish species and a life-size model of a T-rex skull. The park covers 329 acres and includes 8 miles of hiking and skiing trails and a 2-acre fishing pond. Ski and snowshoe rentals are available in winter.
