AAA Editor Notes
Heritage Museum is at 800 9th Ave. N. in Olcott Park. Operated by the Virginia Area Historical Society, it consists of the former park superintendent's residence, a Finnish log house and a 1930s-style tourist cabin. The museum building has beautifully restored stained-glass windows; exhibits depict the logging and lumbering industries, fires that ravaged the town of Virginia in 1893 and 1900, and the life of Olcott Park master gardener Guinnar Peterson.
