Harry S. Truman Dam Visitor Center

Harry S. Truman Dam Visitor Center is 1.5 mi. n. on US 65 to the Truman Dam exit, then 1.25 mi. w. following signs to Kaysinger Bluff, overlooking the dam. A 9-minute audiovisual presentation explains how the Osage River was affected by dam construction. A photography exhibit documents the area's history, and there's also a mastodon display and a viewing area with telescopes. Visitors can watch a movie about the dam project. A nature trail is on the grounds.
