Gallatin History Museum is at 317 W. Main St. Housed in the 1911 county jail, the museum contains permanent and rotating exhibits relating to the history of Gallatin county. A Fort Ellis exhibit, a pioneer log cabin, a gallows, jail cells, more than 25,000 digitized photographs and a research library are included.
$5; free (ages 0-12).
Hours: Tues.-Sat. 10-5, Memorial Day-Labor Day; Tues.-Sat. 11-4, rest of year.
