Blaine County Museum is 5 blks. s. of US 2 at 501 Indiana St. In addition to fossil exhibits and Native American and pioneer artifacts, the museum features re-creations of a tar-paper homestead, a schoolroom, medical offices and a church. A multimedia presentation of the Battle of Bear Paw and information about Bear Paw Battlefield-Nez Perce National Historical Park also are offered.

Guided tours are available.

Mon.-Sat. 8-noon and 1-5, Sun. noon-5, Memorial Day-Labor Day; Mon.-Fri. 8-noon and 1-5, May 1-day before Memorial Day and day after Labor Day-Sept. 30; Mon.-Fri. 1-5, rest of year. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Allow 1 hour minimum.
