This casual restaurant constructed of large peeled log beams and braces is definitely upscale cowboy chic. The walls are decorated with the ubiquitous Montana stuffed elk heads and antler chandeliers light the dining room. The chairs are unpeeled, small log frames with upholstered seats and backs and the booths and benches are all finely upholstered. Ninety-eight percent of all the food coming out of the kitchen is made from scratch and the in-house pastry chef produces all of their desserts. Of course, there is a fairly heavy emphasis on steaks here and they are all hand-trimmed USDA Choice cuts. Elk and bison dishes also are offered. Although the dining is fine, their slogan here is not "fine dining" but "fun dining."
