Yellowstone Gateway Museum is off I-90 exit 333 at 118 W. Chinook St. Housed in a three-story, 1907 schoolhouse, the museum features a variety of local history exhibits, including Yellowstone National Park memorabilia and stagecoaches once used within the park. Historic vehicles include a turn-of-the-20th-century Northern Pacific Railway caboose.
A map traces William Clark’s route through the area. Rounding out the museum’s offerings are exhibits about military, fire and transportation history; American Indian artifacts; local Yellowstone art; and household items from area pioneers.
