AAA Editor Notes
Montana Natural History Center, 120 Hickory St., features exhibits describing the region's flora and fauna. One gallery is dedicated to Glacial Lake Missoula, which filled the valley to depths of nearly 2,000 feet in the latter part of the last ice age and produced periodic catastrophic flooding downstream in Idaho, Washington and Oregon. The center also offers adult education and community programs, evening lectures and special activities for kids.
