This is a small operator-owned joint without high-brow attitude or pretension. But it does have plenty of local patrons and a strong reputation for its slow-smoked meats. Pork ribs, chicken, pulled pork and beef brisket are served up with sides like coleslaw, baked beans, spiral-cut potato chips and potato salad, all made fresh daily. There are a variety of sauces to choose from such as jalapeño honey, classic mild or bold sweet sauces, Carolina mustard, Jack Daniel’s, Buffalo and Sriracha. Come early. Menu mainstays are only available until they sell out.
