AAA Editor Notes
Carbon County Historical Society & Museum is at 224 N. Broadway Ave. This local history museum occupies two floors of the 1909 Labor Temple, a three-story red brick building in Red Lodge’s historic business district. Among the exhibits on the museum’s main floor are rodeo memorabilia, guns, Native American artifacts and a stagecoach.

Simulated coal and hard rock mines on the lower level help visitors imagine what working in the area’s coal mines was like at the turn of the 20th century.

Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
