Missouri Headwaters State Park is 3 mi. e., then 3 mi. n. of US 10 to 1585 Trident Rd. Discovered July 27, 1805, by the Lewis and Clark expedition, the headwaters in this 527-acre park are formed by the joining of the Madison, Gallatin and Jefferson rivers. A scenic overlook and a campground are nearby. Pets on leash are allowed. Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
Park admission $6 (nonresidents per private vehicle); $4 (nonresidents arriving by other means); free (Montana residents with ID). Camping $24-$28 (nonresidents); $18-$20 (nonresidents with a Montana State Park passport); $14-$18 (Montana residents with ID).
Hours: Park open daily dawn-dusk.
