AAA Inspector Notes
Opened in 1910 by a purchasing agent for the Milwaukee Railroad, the historic hotel has been restored in a Western theme with dark wood floors and accents. There are two excellent restaurants on site. Nicknamed the "Sac," the property has spruce beams in the 14-foot ceilings and is decorated in the Arts and Crafts style. The large porch has comfortable chairs, perfect for relaxing on summer evenings. There are several room types available including seven modern cottages. Did not meet all AAA requirements for locking devices in some guest rooms at time of last evaluation on 01/16/2020. Facilities, services, and décor characterize a mid-scale property.
