Lincoln Children's Zoo, 1222 S. 27th St., offers more than 400 animals, including Amur leopards, dromedary camels, Humboldt penguins, crocodiles, naked mole rats, river otters and various primates. The site, which contains thousands of plants and trees, also offers pony and train rides. A butterfly pavilion is open June through September.
