Edgerton Explorit Center is 2 mi. n. of I-80 via SR 14 to 208 16th St. The center bears the name of Aurora native Dr. Harold Edgerton, recognized as the founder of electronic flash photography and the developer of the strobe light and the side scan sonar. Interactive exhibits including one dedicated to the life and works of “Doc” Edgerton—provide insight into many different scientific principles and phenomena. Hands-on activities are featured in the Explorit Zone. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
