Boys Town is at 13628 Flanagan Blvd. Made famous by the 1938 movie starring Spencer Tracy, Boys Town was founded by Father Edward J. Flanagan in 1917. The 900-acre site is now the national headquarters for Boys Town programs that help at-risk children and families. On the grounds are the Hall of History museum, the founder's restored home, Father Flanagan's tomb, chapels, statues and gardens.

Visitor Center Mon.-Fri. 8-5, Sat. 9-4, Sun. 11-4. Hall of History Mon.-Sat. 9-5, Sun. 11-4, May-Aug.; Mon.-Sat. 10-4:30, Sun. 11-4, rest of year. Holiday hours may vary; phone ahead. Closed Jan. 1, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
