AAA Editor Notes

Captain Bailey Museum and Gardens is at 402 Main St. This seven-gabled Victorian house was the residence of a Civil War veteran. Period furniture, toys, clothed figures and a quilt collection are displayed. Originally near the Missouri River, the house was moved to its current location in 1877 when the river's change of course put the home in harms way.
$2; free (ages 0-11).
Hours: Open Fri.-Sun. 1-5, mid-May to mid-Oct. and by appointment.
