Steamboat and Museum of Missouri River History is .2 mi. s.e. of US 136 along the Missouri River in Brownville State Recreation Area. The museum is on the dry-docked Captain Meriwether Lewis, a river dredge that worked on the Missouri 1932-69. Displays present a historical overview of life along the river; some of the dredge's cabins are period-furnished. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
