Gavins Point Powerplant is 9.5 mi. n. on SR 121, then .25 mi. n.w. on an access road. Guided tours and exhibits describe the construction and operation of the dam and hydroelectric power plant. The dam plays a major role in flood control for the Missouri River Basin.
Note: Visitors are required to show government-issued photo I.D. before being admitted to the tour and must arrive 15 minutes before tour begins. Purses, bags, cameras, cell phones, food and drinks are not allowed while on the tour.
