Buffalo Bill Ranch State Historical Park, 2921 Scouts Rest Ranch Rd., is the site of William Frederick “Buffalo Bill” Cody's home, which is known as “Scout's Rest” and is now a museum. The restored 1886 house, barn and other buildings contain various mementos depicting Cody's personal life, his Wild West show, and his days as a U.S. Army scout and buffalo hunter. The historical park is adjacent to Buffalo Bill Ranch State Recreation Area where camping along the Platte River, fishing, picnicking and hiking entice visitors. .
