AAA Editor Notes
Boulder City/Hoover Dam Museum is in the Boulder Dam Hotel at 1305 Arizona St. Exhibits chronicle the history of the dam's construction during the Great Depression and highlight the lives of the people involved in the monumental build. Hoping to find employment with what was then the U.S. government's largest public works project, desperate men and their families moved to the area from around the country. Photographs, relics, oral histories, and 3-D and interactive displays depict the dangers encountered by workers as well as the day-to-day challenges of life in the isolated Nevada desert.
