Northeastern Nevada Museum, 1515 Idaho St., chronicles history with exhibits pertaining to the area's Native American and Basque heritage as well as its mining and ranching traditions. Also included are wildlife displays; art galleries; an antique gun collection; a mastodon exhibit; original western art; and memorabilia related to Bing Crosby, who raised cattle and owned several ranches in the Elko area in the 1940s and '50s. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$5; $3 (ages 13-18 and 65+); $1 (ages 3-12); free (ages 0-2 and to all last Sun. of the month).
Hours: Tues.-Sat. 9-5, Sun. 1-5. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
