AAA Editor Notes
Bonnie Springs Ranch, 16395 Bonnie Springs Rd., features an Old West town complete with costumed actors who enact a western melodrama, a hanging and a posse round-up. Other attractions include a train ride and a petting zoo in addition to pony rides and horseback riding. Among the zoo's inhabitants are deer, wolves, a Canadian lynx, goats, pot-bellied pigs, swans, ducks, turtles, peacocks and donkeys. Activities are offered monthly.

Old West town (includes petting zoo) $10; $7 (ages 0-12). Petting zoo Mon.-Tues. $7; Wed.-Sun. $10; $7 (ages 0-12). Guided 1-hour horseback ride $60 (per person). Pony ride $7.50 (ages 0-5 and under 50 pounds).

Petting zoo daily 10:30-6, in summer; 10:30-5, rest of year. Old West town Wed.-Sun. 10:30-6. Train Sat.-Sun. and holidays 10:30-5:45, in summer; 10:30-5, rest of year. Last ride begins at 5:45, in summer; at 3:45, rest of year. Riding stable opens daily at 9. Phone for Old West show and activity schedules. Allow 2 hours minimum.
