Circus Circus Las Vegas Hotel and Casino is at 2880 Las Vegas Blvd. S. Opened in 1968, one of the Strip's oldest hotel casinos was also the first to court families with carnival midway games and live circus acts in a building shaped like a Barnum & Bailey big top. Outside on the marquee is a giant neon clown pointing you to the front door. Inside, slots and blackjack tables fill the ground floor; upstairs you'll find the midway games (think Skee-Ball and ringtoss), plus a video arcade.

Trapeze artists, acrobats, jugglers and contortionists typically perform high above the casino floor daily every half-hour from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. (the performance schedule varies on weekends). At the back of the property is the indoor theme park Adventuredome. Nearly 50 years have taken their toll on Circus Circus and the casino is showing considerable wear and tear, but it's still a solid choice if you're pushing a stroller or looking for someplace to take an antsy tween.

Food is available.
