AAA Inspector Notes
A 350-foot, glass-faced pyramid crowned by a 40 billion candlepower vertical light beam is the central feature of this Egyptian-themed hotel. The sideways traveling pyramid tower elevator is always a treat, but the pyramid rooms are the most modest. Smoke free premises. 4400 units, some two bedrooms. 22-30 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

I had stayed at this hotel about five years ago and it looks like it has not been updated nor cleaned thoroughly since then. It smelled like stale vanilla and I saw room service trays in the hallway for two days without anyone taking them away. The shower drains were backed up in my room when I showered and the vents looked to have mold coming out of them.
Pros: The price was a good deal, and the staff at the Rice Company restaurant were awesome. Amanda was my bartender and she was extremely attentive and friendly.
Cons: I was not happy with the cleanliness of this hotel and it seems that the establishment is just going downhill.

good - a little dated but nice amenities and good location
Pros: good location. most of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.
Cons: After a long flight and arriving late at night we had difficulty checking in due to a computer error. We were left waiting for a very long time and there were more employees standing behind the desk chatting than there were customers waiting to be helped. The front desk manager was abrupt and seemed unconcerned that we were inconvenienced, When we got to our room, the bathroom vanity was dirty, the toilet had urine on the seat and tissue in the toilet and there was trash in the trash cans. We were upgraded to another room which also had trash in the trash cans, but was, otherwise clean.

Pros: The proximity to the freeway was decent. The atmosphere inside the hotel was good.
Cons: The self parking was absolutely horrible. There were not enough spots. We ended up having to park at Mandalay Bay and walking with our luggage, including my wedding dress, across both hotels to get checked in. The bed was extremely uncomfortable!!
