Eventually my credit card issue was addressed and the hotel team made an effort offering us VIP status regarding use of hotel limo and kindly comp'ed us show tickets too!
Cons: my pre arrival booked and confirmed airport pick up didn't turn up and I never had any explanation as to why. My credit card was charged approx 6 times as the cashier card machine indicated an error and throughout my stay I had to spend significant time addressing this issue.
as with my airport pick up that never materialised there was also seemingly lack of handover from the check in staff on the first day to the check in manager the following hence I ended up having to spend an unfortunate amount of time explaining and seeking assurances as to the resolution of my credit card issue.....all I needed really was the eventually issued assurance that the hotel would see through the correct settlement - when i after return to Dubai wrote to the hotel manager i had been dealing with I received no reply.
