The New Brunswick Internment Camp Museum is at 420 Pleasant Dr. (at jct. Union St.), in the Municipal Building. It pays tribute to prisoners of war interned at the Fredericton Internment Camp during World War II, including German and Italian merchant marines, Jewish refugees and Canadian Nazi sympathizers. More than 600 artifacts are on display, as well as a portion of a reconstructed prisoner’s hut and a model of the camp.
Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
