New Brunswick Aquarium and Marine Centre is on Hwy. 113 off Hwy. 11. This modern facility stands on spacious grounds overlooking Chaleur Bay. Aquariums display more than 100 species of sea life native to the Gulf of St. Lawrence and eastern Canadian rivers and streams. Other exhibits provide information about fisheries, marine habitats and aquaculture. Blue lobsters and harbor seals are the two main attractions.

A 20-minute audiovisual presentation tells the story of the Acadian Peninsula's fishing industry. Visitors also can learn about a variety of fishing techniques, view 3-D fish sculptures and play a fishing video game. Educational harbor seal feeding sessions take place twice daily.

Food is available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
