AAA Editor Notes

St. Andrews Blockhouse National Historic Site is on the waterfront at 23 Joe's Point Rd. The fortification was built during the War of 1812 to protect the town from American privateers. Damaged by fire in 1993, the blockhouse has been restored and contains accurate reproductions of artifacts from the 1800s. The beachfront is popular for picnicking.
