Irving Eco-Centre, “La dune de Bouctouche”

Irving Eco-Centre, “La dune de Bouctouche” is 10 km (6 mi.) n. on Rte. 475. It preserves one of the few remaining sand dunes on the northeast coast of North America. This stretch of New Brunswick coast is a protected marine habitat and a center for ecotourism. A boardwalk allows visitors to observe local flora and fauna. A forested nature trail can be hiked to the town of Bouctouche. The interpretive center contains interactive displays for all ages.

Ongoing scientific studies are conducted at the site, and bilingual interpreters are on hand from May to October to provide information and answer questions.
