This hotel is located close to the State Capitol and many restaurants. Room 121 was the closest to the highway (about 200 feet away). Outside windows and walls were poorly insonorized. We heard loudly every car and especially trucks running on I-93 from 4-5 AM. Impossible to get a good night of sleep. We have stayed in other hotels even closer to highways but with good soundproofing and slept great there - not the case here. In addition, we heard doors every time they are opened, neighbors using their bathroom and walking upstairs. The security back door could be always open without a card key. Room was semi-clean on arrival, dated but bedroom renovated. Bathroom was rundown, not very clean, with bad tub water drainage. Two staff members were nice, one was rude. Pool was small and overcrowded, with water not clean. Free breakfast lacked healthy choices (specially fruits) and breakfast area was too small considering the number of families around us. We were lucky to find a table for 2. On the plus side, TV was brand-new and with a great selection of channels. Wifi was free and mostly ok, with occasional disconnects. It is more a hotel for families than for couples or business people. I would not recommend. Avoid rooms closest to highway if possible.
Pros: Free breakfast, easy to find from highway, free ok wifi, good quality LED TV with plenty of channels, located close to the state capitol
Cons: Constant loud noise from highway 200 feet away (horrible sleep), poor insonorization from slammed doors, people walking upstairs and plumbing, semi-clean room, dated, rundown bathroom, back safety door always open, small breakfast space and lack of choice
