AAA Editor Notes
Contoocook Riverway Association, 896 Main St., is home to the Contoocook Railroad Depot and a 1907 Pullman coach with photos depicting the car's former days as well as some original benches. The first floor of the depot, which contains a ladies' waiting room and ticket window, has been restored to its early 1900s appearance. Upstairs are railroad artifacts like hand tools and signs in addition to maps and a model railroad. The oldest surviving covered railroad bridge is next to the site.
