Iron Furnace Interpretive Center is off I-93 exit 38 near jct. SRs 18 and 117. This park on the Gale River features historical exhibits centered on Franconia's early iron industry. Included are a scale model of the furnace and cast house, production tools and outdoor interpretive panels. Remains of the original stone stack across the river can be viewed from the park.</br>Picnicking is permitted. </br>

Hours: Grounds daily dawn-dusk. Franconia Heritage Museum Sat. 1-4, Memorial Day weekend-Oct. 31; by appointment rest of year. Allow 30 minutes minimum.
