Franklin Pierce Homestead State Historic Site (National Historic Landmark)

Franklin Pierce Homestead State Historic Site (National Historic Landmark), 301 2nd New Hampshire Tpke. (SR 31) near jct. SR 9, was home to the 14th president of the United States from his infancy until his marriage in 1834. The restored 1804 mansion, with its hand-stenciling and period furnishings, reflects the lifestyle of the affluent in the 19th century.
