Conway Scenic Railroad, 38 Norcross Cir., offers nostalgic, narrated, round-trip train rides of varying duration. Excursions are powered by early diesel locomotives over tracks laid in the 1870s. Trains depart from the 1874 North Conway Station. The Valley Train runs to Conway and Bartlett, while the Crawford Notch train travels into the mountains. First-class dining cars are available. The 1921 steam engine that pulls the Conway train from mid-September to mid-October and some weekends in early winter is undergoing maintenance and is expected to start operating fall 2018.
Guided tours are available. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Food is available.
