Miller State Park covers 533 acres 3 mi. e. off SR 101. The state's oldest state park was founded in 1891 and offers a scenic drive and a foot trail to the 2,290-foot summit of Pack Monadnock Mountain. The Wapack Trail between North Pack Monadnock Mountain, 2 miles north, and Mount Watatic, in Massachusetts, also crosses the park. On clear days the view from the summit reaches from Mount Washington to Boston. Hiking is a popular activity. Pets on leash are allowed. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.

Hours: Gates open daily 9-5, mid-Aug. through Oct. 31; Fri.-Sun. 9-4:30, Memorial Day weekend to mid-Aug. (weather permitting). Trails open daily dawn-dusk year-round.
