Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm is at 58 Cleveland Hill Rd. The museum preserves the heritage of Dr. Edwin C. Remick and his son, Dr. Edwin Crafts Remick, who practiced medicine in the village of Tamworth 1894-1993. Farm exhibits interpret more than 200 years of rural New England domestic and agricultural life while contrasting historic and modern methods. Guided farm tours are offered in summer, and special events are offered throughout the year. An interpretive hiking trail and live farm animals also are on the premises. Guided tours are available.
$5; free (ages 0-4). Additional fees may be charged for special events.
Hours: Mon.-Fri. 9-5, Sat. 9-4, late June-early Sept.; Mon.-Fri. 10-4, Sat. 10-3, late May-late June and early Sept.-early Oct.; Mon.-Fri. 10-4, rest of year. Closed Jan. 1, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas. Phone ahead to confirm schedule. Allow 1 hour minimum.
