Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum

Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum, off I-89 exit 8N, 1 mi. e. on SR 103, then 1 mi. n. on Kearsarge Mountain Rd., depicts the culture and heritage of Native Americans. An 8-minute video introduces visitors to the museum, thereafter they may embark on a self-guiding tour of exhibits featuring baskets, canoes, quillwork, beadwork and other artifacts. The adjacent Medicine Woods area offers a walking tour of 2 acres of plants, shrubs and trees used by various tribes for food, medicine and dyes. An art gallery features rotating exhibits of contemporary work.
