New Hampshire Telephone Museum is at 1 Depot St. Exhibits of antique telephones, telephone equipment and tools spanning more than 130 years of telephone history are on display at the museum. Visitors can see a replica of Alexander Graham Bell's first phone as well as use a hand-cranked phone and a plug-in switchboard. An introductory video depicts the life of a telephone operator and the telephone's evolution over the years. Guided tours are available.
$5; $4 (ages 60+); $3 (ages 6-17).
Hours: Tues.-Sat. 10-4, May-Oct.; Tues. and Sat. 10-4, Mar.-Apr. and Nov.-Dec.; by appointment, rest of year.
