Mount Washington Cruises depart from Weirs Beach docks. The MS Mount Washington offers scenic excursions and dinner dance cruises on Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire's largest lake. The 72-square-mile lake is dotted with islands and surrounded by mountains. The MV Sophie C., a popular U.S. mail boat, picks up passengers as it delivers mail to the islands. Passengers can mail postcards aboard this floating post office, which has its own cancellation stamp. Departing from Weirs Beach and Meredith, the MV Doris E. offers 1- and 2-hour scenic and sunset cruises on the lake.
