AAA Inspector Notes
On the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, this comfortable and modern inn was built around an original home dated to 1812. Enjoy a tour around the lake on 'Belle,' a turn-of-the-19th-century paddleboat. The boat is available for private charters as well as public tours. Some rooms are located above the tavern so if you would like a quieter, stay request to be placed in the newer section. Smoke free premises. 44 units. 3 stories, interior corridors.

Pros: Great location. Nice lawn with gazebo, chairs and a fire pit with view of the lake. The room was good size and included terry bath robe and slippers, ironing board and iron. Friendly staff who gave us a 20% coupon to Inn restaurant.
Cons: Beach area is next to motor boat moorings with gas/oil leakage in the water.

Very enjoyable.
Pros: Excellent location for town, just a couple of mins walk. Bike are supplies free of charge to guest , and there is an amazing old railway line that you can ride along, past lakes and through woods and goes for about 6 miles. They also give you a complementary ticket for a boat ride on the lake. Staff were friendly, the bar had a nice atmosphere with locals using it, the lobby had board games to play, and a wonderful fire place.
Cons: The hotel was looking a tad tired inside. The Resturant joined to the bar seemed a little soulless, but no probs , there was a lovely eaterie opposite the hotel.
