Fantastic views overlooking the Hudson and a bunch of picnic tables set up around the cafe. Love the simplicity of this historical spot. A real gem.
AAA Inspector Notes
Historic. High over the Hudson River, just a quick turn off the Palisades Parkway, on the point where New Jersey straddles New York State, this charming 1930s-era cafe on a panoramic overlook is a charming relic of the early days of automobiling. A simple grill serves up comfort foods for hikers, motorists on the way upstate, and a steady flow of curious tourists. There are picnic tables set up for warm days and picnicking on the slate and fieldstone patio. In summer, there are a few summer concerts.
