In one of the swankiest of the suburbs to New York City, this has got to be one of my all-time favorite suburban spots to have a relaxing meal.
AAA Inspector Notes
In the rolling hills of Jersey’s horse country, this amazing little treasure is among the Garden State's most attractive restaurants. Its reconstructed, Federal-style décor brings a touch of country charm to the table, and the 15-story, 15,000-bottle wine tower is bound to impress even the most jaded oenophile. Sophisticated and seasonal fare, such as foie gras torchon and grilled octopus with blood orange are skillfully executed with style and finesse. The inn also has a very inviting and comfortable tavern which offers some outdoor patio seating in season—perfect for a fairly well-priced light snack and a glass of wine. The seasonal menus feature many local ingredients, sourced from the bounty of nearby New Jersey farms.
